πŸ‘₯ Invite Users & Team Members

Bring collaborators, admins, and key contributors into your Makerverse community by inviting them to your workspace. Manage roles and permissions to ensure everyone has the right level of access for their responsibilities.

πŸ”‘ Who Can Invite Team Members?

⚠️ Only the community account Owner has the ability to invite team members.

Invited users cannot invite others β€” only the Owner has this permission.

πŸ“‹ Overview of the Invitation Workflow

You’ll complete the following steps to onboard new users to your Makerverse team:

  1. Manage users from the Users & Teams settings panel

  2. Send invitations via email

  3. Assign roles and configure permissions

Let’s walk through each step below.

🧭 Step 1: Manage Users & Teams

Navigate to:

Settings β†’ Users & Teams

This is where you manage your full user base.

From here, you can:

  • βž• Invite New Members

  • πŸ›  Edit Roles & Permissions

  • πŸ”’ Suspend Access

  • ❌ Remove Users

🧠 Tip: Regularly audit your team list to ensure former collaborators no longer have access.

πŸ“§ Step 2: Invite Team Members

You can invite users by entering their email address in the designated invitation field. Upon sending the invite, you’ll assign them a role based on the access they require.

Available Roles:

  • Administrator – Full platform access

  • Content Manager – Focused on creative assets and publishing

  • Finance Manager – Billing and revenue-specific permissions

  • Special/Custom – Fully customizable role (set permissions manually)

πŸ” Security Note: Role-based access ensures platform integrity and prevents accidental misuse of admin tools.

πŸ”’ Step 3: Set Role-Based Permissions

After selecting the role for your invitee, customize their access level across different categories.

Permission Levels:

  • No Access – User cannot interact with this category at all

  • Viewer – Read-only access

  • Editor – Full read/write privileges for that category

Categories may include areas like:

  • Admin

  • Community Management

  • Finance Manager

  • Special/Custom Roles

✏️ Example: A Finance Manager might have "Editor" access to Billing but "No Access" to Content Publishing.

πŸ“Ž Additional Tips

  • βœ… Use custom roles for contractors or specialists with very limited responsibilities

  • πŸ“† Review permissions quarterly to ensure security compliance

  • πŸ§ͺ Test access using a test account before onboarding high-stakes team members
